Build a work / rest cycle
A repeating cycle is useful when your work days follow a predictable pattern, such as two days on and two days off. The first date in the tool is a working day. Rest days remain part of the calendar range but do not become work events.
For a 12-day range with two working days followed by two rest days, the generator produces six shifts. An 08:00 start and an eight-hour shift ends at 16:00. With a 30-minute unpaid break, each shift contributes 450 net minutes. The six shifts total 45 hours.
The generator uses one daily shift length and one start time. For rotating morning and night times, exceptions, leave or irregular shifts, enter an explicit shift list in Working hours instead. Do not treat the generated cycle as an approved employer roster.
