Check time zones and clock changes

Choose the time zone where the roster’s local times apply. Europe/Istanbul and Europe/Berlin are different choices even when the times written on paper look identical. Calendar exports store UTC instants so calendar applications can display them in the viewer’s selected zone.

On a spring clock-change night, a local 01:00–09:00 shift can have fewer than eight elapsed hours. On an autumn clock-change night it can have more. The calculation follows the browser’s time-zone database and subtracts breaks from actual elapsed minutes.

A local time skipped by the spring change produces an error. When a local time occurs twice in autumn, the first occurrence is selected. If your approved roster intends the second occurrence, this tool cannot express that distinction; use a calendar application that supports an explicit offset and verify the event there.
