Record a shift that crosses midnight

Use the date on which the shift begins. In a CSV list, an end time earlier than the start time is interpreted as the following day. For example, 2026-10-05,20:00,08:00,60 is a twelve-hour overnight shift with one hour deducted, leaving eleven net hours in a time zone without a clock change.

An equal start and end means a full day, rather than zero hours. A 24-hour elapsed shift is the upper limit. A zero-length record must be removed from the list. The preview includes the end date so that overnight interpretation can be checked before export.

If the next shift begins before the preceding one ends, the tool rejects the list. Check both the date and time when correcting an overlap. Break deductions change net time but do not make overlapping shifts valid.
